Equipment

  • Baking Sheet
  • Parchment Paper
  • Large Bowl
  • Knife
  • Peeler

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 medium Sweet Potatoes
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 0.25 tsp Black Pepper

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Wash and peel the sweet potatoes, then cut them into uniform fry shapes, about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick.
  • In a large bowl, toss the sweet potato fries with olive oil, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.

Baking

  • Spread the seasoned sweet potato fries in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.

Serving

  • Remove from the oven and serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

For extra crispiness, soak the cut sweet potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes before tossing with oil and seasonings. Make sure the fries are spread in a single layer; overcrowding will steam them instead of making them crispy.
