Ingredients

For the Shrimp

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 0.5 tsp cumin
  • 0.5 tsp paprika
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 0.125 tsp black pepper

For the Sauce

  • 0.5 cup mayonnaise
  • 0.25 cup sour cream
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tsp sriracha or to taste

For Assembly

  • 8 corn or flour tortillas warmed
  • 2 cup shredded cabbage
  • 0.25 cup chopped cilantro
  • lime wedges for serving

Instructions

Prepare the Shrimp

  • In a medium bowl, combine the shrimp with olive oil, chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Toss until the shrimp are evenly coated.

Make the Sauce

  • In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, lime juice, and sriracha until smooth. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.

Cook the Shrimp

  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until pink and opaque. Do not overcook.

Assemble the Tacos

  • Warm the tortillas according to package instructions. Fill each tortilla with cooked shrimp, shredded cabbage, a drizzle of the creamy sauce, and a sprinkle of fresh cilantro. Serve with lime wedges on the side.

Notes

For extra crunch, you can quickly pan-fry or air-fry the tortillas before assembling. If you prefer spicier tacos, add more sriracha to the sauce or a pinch of cayenne pepper to the shrimp marinade.
