Ingredients
  

Crust

  • 1 sheet store-bought puff pastry

Filling

  • 3 heirloom tomatoes sliced
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 4 oz fresh goat cheese crumbled
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil chopped
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Carefully unroll the puff pastry sheet onto the prepared baking sheet.
  • Spread the Dijon mustard evenly over the puff pastry, leaving a small border around the edges.

Assembly and Baking

  • Arrange the sliced heirloom tomatoes on top of the mustard.
  • Sprinkle the crumbled goat cheese and chopped fresh basil over the tomatoes.
  • Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed.

Finishing Touch

  • Remove the tart from the oven and let it cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can brush the edges of the puff pastry with an egg wash before baking. Feel free to experiment with other herbs like thyme or oregano.
