Ingredients
  

Pudding Base

  • 2 boxes instant vanilla pudding mix (3.4 oz each)
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk (14 oz)

Layers

  • 5 medium ripe bananas sliced
  • 1 box vanilla wafers (12 oz)

Topping (Optional)

  • 1 container whipped topping (8 oz), thawed

Instructions
 

Prepare Pudding

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix and cold milk for 2 minutes until thickened.
  • Stir in the sweetened condensed milk thoroughly until well combined.

Assemble Pudding

  • Arrange a layer of vanilla wafers in the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Evenly spread half of the sliced bananas over the wafers.
  • Pour half of the pudding mixture over the bananas.
  • Repeat the layers: vanilla wafers, remaining bananas, and remaining pudding mixture.

Chill and Serve

  • Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight, to allow the wafers to soften and the flavors to meld.
  • Before serving, top with whipped topping if desired and garnish with extra vanilla wafers or banana slices.

Notes

For best results, use firm, ripe bananas. You can also experiment with adding a layer of caramel or chocolate sauce for an extra treat.
