  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 2 stalks green onions sliced, for garnish

  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds optional

Preparation

  • Cook egg noodles according to package directions, then drain and set aside.
  • Cut chicken into 1-inch pieces and mince the garlic.

Sauce Creation

  • In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and sesame oil.
  • In a separate small bowl, combine cornstarch and water to create a slurry.

Cooking

  • Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat and add a tablespoon of oil.
  • Add chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, then remove from skillet.
  • Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Pour in the sauce mixture and bring to a simmer.
  • Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook until the sauce thickens.
  • Return the cooked chicken and noodles to the skillet, tossing to coat everything evenly.

Serving

  • Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds if desired, then serve immediately.

Notes

For extra spice, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce. This dish is best served fresh.
