  • Cutting board and knife

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb Shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 4 tbsp Butter
  • 4 Garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp Fresh parsley chopped
  • 0.5 tsp Red pepper flakes optional
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

Preparation

  • Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels; this helps them sear better and prevents excess moisture in the pan.
  • Season the dried shrimp with salt and black pepper to taste, ensuring an even coating for flavor.

Cooking

  • Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat until it shimmers and is ready for cooking.
  • Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  • Add the seasoned shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until they turn pink and opaque.
  • Stir in lemon juice, fresh parsley, and red pepper flakes (if using) and cook for another minute to combine flavors.

Serving

  • Serve the garlic butter shrimp immediately as a main dish or as an accompaniment to pasta, rice, or crusty bread.
  • Garnish with extra fresh parsley if desired for a touch of freshness.

Notes

For an extra kick, add a pinch more red pepper flakes. You can also add a splash of white wine during the cooking process for a richer sauce.
