Equipment

  • Medium bowl

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 10 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp hot sauce

Instructions

Preparation

  • Place eggs in a single layer in a pot and cover with cold water by one inch; bring to a boil.
  • Remove from heat, cover, and let sit for 10-12 minutes.
  • Drain and immediately transfer eggs to an ice bath for 5 minutes.
  • Peel the cooled eggs and cut them in half lengthwise.

Cajun Seasoning

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together Old Bay seasoning, cayenne pepper, and hot sauce.
  • Gently toss the peeled and halved eggs in the seasoning mixture until evenly coated.

Serve

  • Serve immediately, or refrigerate for later.

Notes

Adjust cayenne pepper to your preferred spice level. For best flavor, let the eggs marinate in the seasoning for at least 30 minutes before serving.
