  • 500 g Ground Beef
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 800 g Canned Tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp Tomato Paste
  • 250 ml Beef Broth
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp Dried Oregano
  • Salt to taste
  • Black Pepper to taste
  • Parmesan Cheese for serving

  • Cook spaghetti according to package directions; drain and set aside.
  • In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic; cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  • Add ground beef to the pot and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain any excess fat.
  • Stir in canned tomatoes, tomato paste, beef broth, and oregano. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat and let it cook for at least 15-20 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Serve the bolognese sauce over the cooked spaghetti. Garnish with grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can add a splash of red wine with the tomatoes and broth. You can also add chopped carrots and celery to the onion and garlic for a classic soffritto base.
