  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

  • In a large pot, combine the chicken broth, shredded chicken, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  • Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat and let it cook for 5-7 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  • Stir in the heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese, cooking for another 2-3 minutes until heated through and the cheese is melted.
  • Taste and adjust seasonings as needed, then ladle the soup into bowls and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can sauté the garlic in a little olive oil before adding the broth. Freshly grated Parmesan cheese makes a big difference in taste and texture.
