  • 500 g gnocchi
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 200 g mushrooms sliced
  • 150 g spinach
  • 100 g cream cheese
  • 100 ml milk
  • 50 g Parmesan cheese grated
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper

Cooking Instructions

  • Cook the gnocchi according to package instructions until tender, then drain and set aside.
  • While the gnocchi cooks, melt butter in a large pan over medium heat and sauté minced garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add sliced mushrooms to the pan and cook for 5-7 minutes until they are softened and browned.
  • Stir in the fresh spinach and cook until it wilts, which only takes a minute or two.
  • Reduce heat to low and add cream cheese and milk, stirring until the cream cheese is fully melted and a smooth sauce forms.
  • Add the cooked gnocchi to the sauce and toss gently to coat everything evenly.
  • Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy your creamy spinach and mushroom gnocchi.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of nutmeg to the sauce. Feel free to use any type of mushrooms you prefer. A sprinkle of fresh parsley or chives at the end can add a nice touch of freshness.
