  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce

  • 2 cloves Minced garlic
  • 1 tsp Grated ginger

For Serving

  • 1 tbsp Sesame seeds

Instructions

Preparation

  • Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat, breaking it apart, then drain any excess fat from the pan.
  • Whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and optional gochujang in a small bowl to create the sauce.
  • Pour the prepared sauce over the browned beef and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens and coats the beef.
  • Remove from heat and serve the Korean ground beef mixture immediately over warm cooked rice, garnished with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

Adjust gochujang to your spice preference, or omit for a milder dish. For extra veggies, add shredded carrots or spinach to the skillet with the sauce.
