  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 3 medium ripe bananas mashed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup melted butter

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • In a separate large bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork.
  • Stir in the granulated sugar, egg, and melted butter with the mashed bananas until well combined.

Baking

  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined and being careful not to overmix.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  • Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let the banana bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
