Chicken

  • 1.5 lbs chicken thighs boneless, skinless

Marinade & Sauce

  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp ginger grated
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water

Garnish

  • sesame seeds for garnish
  • green onions sliced, for garnish

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Cut chicken thighs into 1-inch pieces and place them in a bowl.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and grated ginger to create the marinade.

Cooking

  • Pour half of the marinade over the chicken and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  • Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat with a tablespoon of oil.
  • Add the marinated chicken to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Add the remaining marinade to the skillet along with the cornstarch slurry.
  • Stir continuously until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken, about 2-3 minutes.

Serving

  • Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
  • Serve immediately with rice or noodles.

Notes

For an extra kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the marinade. This dish pairs well with steamed rice and stir-fried vegetables.
