  • For the custard, whisk semolina, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thick.
  • Layer buttered phyllo sheets in a baking dish, pour in the custard, and top with more buttered phyllo. Bake until golden brown.
