  • Beat in the egg, orange zest, orange juice, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined and a soft dough forms.
  • Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the centers are set.
  • Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For extra orange flavor, you can add a simple orange glaze made with powdered sugar and orange juice to the cooled cookies.
