  • 2 breasts chicken
  • 2 sheets puff pastry
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp pepper

Egg Wash

  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp water

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Cook the chicken breasts, then shred them into small pieces and set aside.

Filling

  • In a bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.

Assembly

  • Roll out each puff pastry sheet and cut each into 12-13 squares, totaling around 25 squares.
  • Place a spoonful of the chicken mixture onto the center of each pastry square.
  • Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling and pinch the edges to seal, forming a pillow shape.
  • Whisk the egg and water to create an egg wash, then brush it over the sealed chicken pillows.

Baking

  • Arrange the chicken pillows on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 18-20 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
