  • large skillet

  • whisk

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 12 count Hawaiian rolls
  • 12 count American cheese slices
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper

Topping (optional)

  • 2 tbsp butter melted
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp dijon mustard

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat until the meat is browned and the onion is tender. Drain any excess fat.

Assembly

  • Stir in the garlic powder, salt, and pepper into the cooked beef mixture.
  • Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping the rolls connected. Place the bottom halves of the rolls into the prepared baking dish.
  • Evenly spread the cooked beef mixture over the bottom halves of the rolls. Arrange the American cheese slices over the beef. Place the top halves of the rolls over the cheese.

Baking

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, sesame seeds, and Dijon mustard. Brush this mixture over the tops of the rolls.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the tops of the rolls are golden brown.

Serving

  • Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, then slice into individual sliders and serve warm.

Notes

For an extra kick, add a dash of Worcestershire sauce to the beef mixture. You can also customize your sliders with toppings like pickles, ketchup, or mustard before serving.
