Instructions
Preparation
Cook fettuccine according to package directions, then drain and set aside.
Melt butter in a large pan over medium heat, then add mushrooms and garlic.
Cooking
Sauté mushrooms and garlic for 5-7 minutes until mushrooms are tender and browned.
Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally.
Stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce has thickened.
Add cooked fettuccine to the sauce and toss to combine; season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serving
Serve immediately and garnish with extra Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
For a richer sauce, use full-fat heavy cream. You can also add grilled chicken or shrimp for a more substantial meal.
